Just when you thought you were over the jet lag it hits you like a brick in the back of the head. Could I sleep lsast night - NO. Drifted in and out of semi-consciousness throughout the night to finally fall into a deep sleep and miss the alarm. Up showered, dressed and ready for breakfast in 10 minutes. Breakfast was very similar to yesterday with a good range and choice.
The bus times are a bit dodgy as we have to leave on the 8:00 a.m.to ensure we are at the venue for our meeting at 10.00. But the arena has been transformed over night and is now set up and ready to go. Looking good.
Judges meeting was just dragging a bit when the Committee announced me as the CJP for the event! Another brick around the back of the head... at least it gives Judy a break from the stresses of another major event and she has been extremely supportive.
The rest of the day was spent coralled in a room checking tariff sheets along with the difficulty judges finally to escape some time after four.
I understand the team trained well and that preparations for competition are going well.
Back to the hotel to drop off judging papers and then off to the catering centre for dinner. By the time we get back that willbe the evening gone!
The people in Kaohsiung are extremely friendly, helpful and hospitable. You only have to stop and look at a map and someone walks upto offer help! Even walking on the streets you never feel threatened although you do feel continually starred at!
